Women constitute more than half of the population. In 2008, 60% of voters were women. It is estimated that 10 million more women than men will vote in this election. Despite this, women make up only 16% of Congress. Women earn only 70 cents to each dollar men make. Women of color and undocumented women make less than white citizens. Mitt Romney and the Republican Party are determined to overturn Roe V. Wade. Romney has not supported equal pay for women (The Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act). Romney has vowed to defund Planned Parenthood. Romney has vowed to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Romney doesn't want health care to cover birth control. Romney says same sex marriage should be banned with a Constitutional Amendment.
Women, let's rise up. Our vote alone can win this election. A vote for Obama is a vote for your health and your right to choose. It is a vote for equal pay and equal rights. A vote for Obama is a vote for our families. It is a vote to marry who you choose. It's a vote to start a family when you choose. A vote for Obama says that we won't stand for violence against women and that rape is rape. Our vote ensures that our daughters will grow up with the same rights that we've had. A vote for Obama sends a message: This war on women must end. We will not go backwards.
This election is shockingly close. Our safety is at stake. Our silence is consent and our vote is our voice. Let’s get active. Let’s get out every vote we can. Let’s make this election a mandate. A mandate to finally ensure women the respect, dignity and equality we all deserve! This is now. This is our call to action. Once and for all, let's take back the power that is so inherently and naturally ours!

Cheap thrills at Cheap Monday's first ever Australian Backyard Sessions
Free music, drinks and snausages... the best way to spend any lazy, sunny Sunday afternoon.
We lucked out this weekend with the best weather we could hope for, for our first ever Backyard Sessions, held at Paddington Public School, for Cheap Monday.
DJ Moonbase Commander kicked off the day with some soulful toons to get everyone settled in...
Followed by Cabins, who were the first band to play for the day. They featured very heavily on Cheap Monday's facey and blog (we love them too. They're good at handball and pretty alright to look at).
Cheap Monday Backyard Sessions Sydney from PEDESTRIAN.TV on Vimeo.
In between the bands, Moonbase kept the crowd vibing, and The Griswolds played the second band set, to a crowd of new found fans. Who are these parents producing such fine specimens...?
And to finish off the day, everyone was serenaded by a saxophone with Panama.
All musicians are Sydney based and are certainly making a racket of noise in the industry at the moment, so, watch this space...
All in all, the day was srsly amazeballs with good peeps, good farshuns, and good vibes.
Check out more snaps from the day here.

#adidasunderground
Sooo... if you're a big ass Chemical Brothers fan like me, then this will get you pumped and pretty envious... (let's go to London!)
adidas recently held an event, a one off screening/ 3D screening/ thisiswhenallyourchemicalbrothersfantasiescometrue/ if you will... called DONT THINK at a secret location in London. This screening was of the Chemical Brothers live film where the visuals came to LIFE. Visuals, lights and lasers saturated the audience in synch with the film. Moments on the screen transformed from 2D images to reality. From the leading lady to the balloons to the dancing LED dotman, and, THE BEST PART (or scariest part), everyone in the audience was made up as clowns - matching the recurring motif of the film.
Some background on the underground...
adidas Underground is a series of collaborative events held in unique London locations. It's your chance to see some of the world's most exciting art, music, fashion and unique experiences, with stunning visuals, giveaways, free drinks and more surprises.... More info here.

The pic above is a poster from our 'In Synthesis' group exhibition presented by adidas Originals, that we held at the Paramount Building just over a month ago. Shot by Rene Vaile featuring Shenay Carey wearing adidas Originals, and styled by Oyster's Ana Ifould, the poster was given to all those who attended along with a specially made zine with profiles on the exhibiting artists.

TIME LAPSE / REAL TIME
Real time footage of the Northern Lights, Aurora Borealis filmed on January 24th during the peak of a Solar Storm. Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) is a spectacular phenomenon that occurs in nature. They are produced by tiny particles that rush out of the sun in all directions. These particles are slowed down by the earth's magnetic field which releases energy that we see as auroras (colour waves in the sky), the colour depends on the altitude.
The aurora borealis is also called the northern polar lights, as it is only visible in the sky from the Northern Hemisphere, the chance of visibility increasing with proximity to the North Magnetic Pole, which is currently in the arctic islands of northern Canada. It occurs often in Scandinavia as well. In addition, it is possible to see it during the day (it happens at all times but it is harder to see) and in different areas of the world. In fact, some rare occurances of the aurora borealis have mistaken people to take them for UFOs.
