MEMPHIS was a Milan collective of young furniture and product designers helmed by Ettore Sottsass.Formed in 1981, MEMPHIS dominated the 80's design world with their post-modernist style.  Some pieces would look pretty at home in Tom Hank's apartment in the 1988 film Big.

Melbourne filmmaker and friend of Little Hero, Genevieve Bailey's first feature documentary 

I AM ELEVEN has secured a cinema release next month. This project has been in production since 2005. Go Gen!

I AM ELEVEN is a life–affirming global portrait of humanity at a crucial age – no longer children, not quite adults, preparing to inherit a world changing as quickly and dramatically as they are. This documentary focuses on a series of eleven-year-olds from 15 countries, each speaking in their own words and revealing the private obsessions and public concerns that animate their lives.

I AM ELEVEN national release kicks off in Melbourne July 5, then Perth July 12, then Brisbane, Byron and Sydney July 19.

Since Gianni Versace was murdered on the front doorstep of the mansion in 1992, it has been home to entrepreneur Peter Loftin, who restored the property to its former glory. The enormous beach estate boasts 10 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and fresco embellished courtyard,as well as the mosaic-tilled outdoor pool lined in 24-karat gold!

A Happy Death

AHD - A Happy Death is quite possibly the coolest card co. around, featuring some sharp work from artists such as Billie Justice Thomson (Melb), Mark Drew (Tokyo) and Kyle Montgomery (Syd).  A pretty big incentive to send snail mail magic, and finally an alternative to sending ironic kitten cards (though they do that too).
